Slipknot percussionist and co-founder Shaun ‘Clown’ Crahan says the only reason the nu metal nine-piece hasn’t made its long-awaited release. Look out your window The project is still there because it is “timeless”.
The album, described by frontman Corey Taylor as “experimental” and “melodic”, was recorded during the 2008 sessions. All hope is lost.
Despite being first teased by Krahn in 2018, it still hasn’t seen the light of day.
The 54-year-old has offered Andy Hall Access another update on the record, claiming it will be out this year.
“The only reason it’s not out there is because it’s a timeless album,” Crahan explains (via Metal injection).
“It could be released 10 years ago, 10 years from today, 10 years from today.”
The percussionist adds that the artwork, mixing and mastering for the album is all done, but says that Slipknot still hasn’t found a good release window to properly promote the project.
Karan also admitted that there have been repeated delays Look out your window Something of a running joke among certain Slipknot members.
“I put my foot down because I’m tired of listening to everybody – not the fans or myself, but the guys in the band who are on it,” he says.
“It’s been so long now that they just laugh. And I laugh too, but I believe we’re going to get it this year.
Look out your window Originally slated for a Christmas 2019 release.
After that date came and went, Krahn said it would be released during the 2019 touring cycle. We are not your type.
The album still didn’t materialize until a 2022 release Finally, so far.
Krahan then said in January 2023 that Look out your window Slipknot left longtime label Roadrunner Records in April 2023 “very soon after”.
Taylor said in August 2023 that the album would arrive this year.
At the time of writing, the only song of Look out your window Currently available to the public ‘Til we die. The track was released as part of the deluxe edition of All hope is lost.
Slipknot will embark on a blockbuster world tour next month to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut album. See the full list of dates below.

The track will be their first with drummer Eloy Casagrande and their new, as-yet-unnamed keyboard player.
